Frequently Asked Questions
Q: ED pills haven’t worked for me. Can The Boston Method still help me regain my erectile function?
A: Yes we can! ED pills don’t work for around 30% of men with ED and we’ve successfully treated tens of thousands of men for whom ED pills aren’t effective. As experts in the field of erectile dysfunction we have many treatment options that can help men, regardless of the cause of their erectile dysfunction.
Q: Can my urologist or primary care physician treat my erectile dysfunction?
A: Sexual dysfunction is a very specialized field and although urologists and primary care physicians do treat these health issues, many times their options are limited and they commonly prescribe a one-size-fits-all treatment. Many urologists and primary care physicians actually refer their patients to Boston Medical Group because of our expertise and experience treating ED and PE. Only Boston Medical Group physicians are licensed to offer the personalized treatment programs utilized in The Boston Method.
Q: I am currently taking medications for another medical condition. Can The Boston Method still help me?
A: Yes. We have localized, non-systemic treatments that won’t interfere with any other medications you may be taking. ED can be the symptom of a cardiovascular issue so we have many patients that undergo our treatments while simultaneously treating heart conditions. Many of our patients take nitrates for chest pains, high blood pressure medications or diabetes medications. Our doctors evaluate each person’s medical history before beginning treatment. If you are currently taking any medications, please bring a list of them with you to your consultation.
Q: Do Boston Medical Group doctors prescribe herbal treatments or drugs?
A: No, Boston Medical Group only prescribes FDA-approved, established medications.
Q: How much do treatments at Boston Medical Group cost?
A: There is a one-time fee for your initial consultation which includes all diagnostic testing. Each treatment program is different so, depending on the patient, costs vary.
Q: My partner is very supportive and wants to attend my consultation. Is this OK?
A: We are firm believers that couples who work together to solve sexual health problems have the best chance at overcoming them. We encourage men to bring their partners so they, too can be educated on the topic of male sexual health.
Q: How long will my first consultation last? On average, how many visits are required?
A: Given the effectiveness of The Boston Method, most men only need one consultation to see immediate results. The average first-time consultation lasts about two hours, allowing enough time for a comprehensive assessment, a discussion of the diagnosis and treatment options, and the commencement of the treatment program.
